PVA Water Soluble Support Pellets
Ideal for making your own filament or for use in a pellet-fed 3D printer.
Please note: Additional shipping charges may apply on orders over 10kg.
Processing Recommendations:
- Pre-dry before extrusion at 50C for 4-6 hours. A toaster oven works fine for this. Do your family a favor and do not dry the resin in your kitchen oven! Wet material will extrude with bubbles present in the filament. If this happens, dry the resin more before processing.
- Extrusion Temp: 150 - 170C depending on your extruder set-up.
- Do not cool using water tanks - this is a water soluble material and will dissolve in the water.
Abrasive Material
This material is particularly abrasive among 3D printing filaments. Users may find standard brass nozzles are chewed through very quickly compared to standard wear and tear. When worn through, the nozzle diameter will widen inconsistently and the printer will experience extrusion issues.
Because of this, it's strongly recommended this material be printed through a hardened steel nozzle rather than a softer metal. Hardened steel nozzles can often be inexpensive and easily installed depending on your printer manufacturer's instructions.
