3DXTECH and Automation Alley teamed up to provide local manufacturers insight on the future of Additive Manufacturing.
On August 13th, 2024 we opened our doors and welcomed our neighbors to learn more about additive manufacturing and how it can help solve some of today's manufacturing issues, increase productivity, and save time and money.
Over the years, we have seen additive manufacturing play a bigger role in providing solutions in the manufacturing industry. That is why we teamed up with Automation Alley to help local Michigan manufacturers discover the benefits of additive manufacturing. We have already helped numerous manufacturing companies solve logistic and cost saving issues with additive manufacturing and we wanted to help our local companies do the same.
Jigs and Fixtures
Additive Manufacturing can produce jigs and fixtures faster and at a lower cost than traditional manufacturing methods, without sacrificing quality or performance. It can also reduce stock and the need for molds, and enable more parts to be produced on demand.
Composite Tooling
Utilizing new additive manufacturing to manufacture composite tooling has the potential to produce significant savings in both time and cost. Some examples include rapid prototyping, on-demand and just-in-time manufacturing, shorter assembly times, and easier maintenance
End of Arm Tooling
Just like composite tool and jigs and fixtures, additive manufacturing can significantly reduce the cost of producing end of arm tooling components. Along with reduced material waste, there are no tooling costs. Additive manufacturing also gives you the ability to customize, make design changes, and create complex geometries
