RAPID + TCT Recap: Record-Breaking Engine Build, New 3D Printing Materials, 22IDEX v4 Demo, and Filament Drying Solutions from 3DXTECH!

What a great week the 3DXTECH team had at RAPID+TCT 2026! As always, we’re incredibly honored to exhibit at the event and grateful for all the attendees who stopped by to chat with us. It’s the great guests at our booth that make the week so memorable. Like other RAPID+TCT shows in the past, our team felt our booth became a beacon for collaboration and partnership.

We’d be remiss to talk about partnerships without mentioning our partners at VisionMiner. The VisionMiner team set up at our booth to demonstrate their 22IDEX v4 printer. It’s an incredible machine capable of printing high-temperature materials like Carbon Fiber PEKK and Ultem 1010, making it a perfect fit for our booth. Another great collaborator we were able to showcase was The Garage Shop. We drew attention with the massive 3,700-horsepower land speed streamliner engine they graciously let us borrow. This engine was built in collaboration with Steve Morris Engines and showcases the innovative strides The Garage Shop is making by leveraging additive manufacturing, specifically our Triton3D Ultem 1010.

Among the projects we were excited to showcase at RAPID this year were our new and upcoming materials. Through our 3DXLabs line, we will be launching three new filaments unveiled at RAPID: HT-PETG, PVDF-GF, and PEBA. HT-PETG and PVDF-GF are both improvements on customer favorites, with performance and printability in mind. PEBA is a new material for us, a nylon-based elastomer. We are excited to bring it to market, and based on the excitement around the PEBA basketball at RAPID, the community is eager to start printing with it. Additionally, we’re excited to announce plans to launch FR-Obsidian and ESD-Obsidian as new additions to our Markforged Onyx alternative lineup, alongside Obsidian-CF v2. These will be flame-retardant and ESD-safe materials, respectively.

Finally, we showcased our solutions for keeping filament dry, stable, and print-ready with the FD1 Filament Dryer and FM1 Filament Maintainer. The FD1 removes absorbed moisture, while the FM1 keeps filament in a controlled environment during printing to prevent reabsorption and moisture-related defects. For a limited time, you can purchase them together and save $1,495 while ensuring more reliable, high-quality prints.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by booth #1421, shared your projects, asked great questions, and helped make this year’s RAPID+TCT amazing. We’re excited to carry this momentum through the rest of 2026 and beyond.
