3DXTECH’s Rachel Minard Shares Expertise on Two Leading 3D Printing Podcasts

Explore expert insights on high-performance 3D printing materials, filament selection, and additive manufacturing trends as 3DXTECH Product Manager Rachel Minard shares her knowledge on two leading industry podcasts.

Late last month, Rachel Minard, Product Manager at 3DXTECH, appeared on two influential 3D printing podcasts to share her insights and experience within the additive manufacturing industry. Rachel joined 3DXTECH in early 2022 as a Design Engineer. She later transitioned into a Quality Engineer role, where she gained an in-depth understanding of our extensive portfolio of high-performance 3D printing filaments and valuable insights into what customers are looking for in the 3D printing space. Now serving as Product Manager, Rachel is focused on driving 3DXTECH forward as a leader in high-performance filament development.

Rachel holds a degree in Product Design with a minor in Polymer Technologies and previously worked in her university’s 3D printing lab for over two years. She is particularly excited about the growing accessibility of advanced 3D printing materials and enjoys discussing real-world applications for different engineering polymers. When the opportunity arose for podcast guest appearances, few on the 3DXTECH team were as qualified as Rachel to sit down and share her expertise.

Rachel first joined Jonathan Levi (The Next Layer) on The Infill Podcast, where she discussed high-performance 3D printing materials and the future of additive manufacturing. She provided practical advice on choosing the right filament material, comparing carbon fiber and glass fiber reinforcements, and explaining how different fillers impact strength, printability, and performance. Rachel emphasized that material selection should start with a clear understanding of the final part's environmental conditions and performance needs. She also encouraged makers to explore advanced 3D printing materials, noting that, with the right guidance, they are more accessible than many realize.

In her second appearance, Rachel joined Tyler on 3D Printing Basics, where she addressed a more beginner-focused audience about the full spectrum of 3DXTECH’s materials, from economy PLA to advanced polymers. She highlighted our mission to make both entry-level and high-temperature filaments performance-driven and engineering-ready. Rachel noted that even our most affordable products are made in the USA, ensuring quality and reliability. Rachel also emphasized the importance of supporting newcomers to the space, saying, “Don’t be afraid to ask questions…We’ve all been there. We've all run into the same troubleshooting issues.” This episode offered valuable insights for anyone looking to grow from hobbyist to professional.

At 3DXTECH, we’re committed to being a trusted resource for the 3D printing community. Whether you're an experienced engineer or just starting out, we want to help you print with confidence. Be sure to check out Rachel’s recent podcast appearances, and if you host a show where you'd like to feature the 3DXTECH team, we’d love to hear from you!
